Why Overthinking Wears Down Connection

When you’re stuck in your head, it’s hard to be present with your partner. Overanalyzing every gesture or word can lead to misinterpretations and assumptions. You may begin to seek constant reassurance or, conversely, withdraw emotionally to protect yourself.

In either case, the emotional bridge between you starts to weaken. Communication suffers. Trust dwindles. What once felt like a partnership begins to feel like a guessing game where neither of you feels fully seen or heard.

But it doesn’t have to be this way.
